Our second rally of the year was a blast! We finished trimester 2 with some fun and games, pumping up our studnets for the final act of the year!
February: Black History Month

February 29: Black History Month Talent Show in the Ben at 6:00 pm
Overview: Monday, February 26 is a minimum day. Please note the schedule changes and work with your student to remind them throughout the week.
Purpose: Our staff has special time to focus on large academy initiatives. This Monday, our staff will be continuing to integrate our academy Pillars into their curriculum, while developing our comprehensive three-year student portfolio process. Student portfolios are an intergral part of the Leading Edge program.
Dismissal: 12 :35 pm
Overview: We are finishing Trimester 2 and headed to the last trimester of the year. Student have a few days to turn in any late work and retake assessment to ensure they demonstrate mastery of the learning objectives from trimester 2.
Overview: At Leading Edge, we practice two safety drills a month. Our goal is to ensure that our students and staff are confident and prepared. We have one evacuation drill a month accompanied by specialized drills like lockdown and earthquake drills. Check out the spring drills link for more information about them.
Natomas USD, in collaboration with Natomas Charter, Westlake Charter, and NP3, is hosting a student conference in support and celebration of our LGTBQ+ youth on Saturday, March 23rd from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. The event will feature food, student performances, a student panel, and an insightful conversation with PFAA teacher Jeff Pollard regarding the history of LGBTQ+ movement within the United States.
