Overview: Many Leading Edge students choose to remain at NCS for their high school experience. With amazing programs like our Performing and Fine Arts Academy and Early College Academy, it's an easy decision. Our schools offer dual enrollment, foster a positive and small school culture, and ensure students are successful in preparing for college and career.
Overview: Leading Edge loves to celebrate, and we encourage students to dress their best for our upcoming event! Please note that masks, weapons, and bloody or gory costumes are not allowed. Inflatables are permitted outside of class time. If a student is unsure whether a costume is appropriate, they can check with Dr. Lokteff. We’re excited to announce a costume parade and contest, with the winner receiving three ROCK tickets and a special shout-out during announcements!
Overview: Its time to get serious about grades. Students are nearing the end of Trimester 1. Remember that they have access to study hall, office hours, learning labs, and much more to ensure the pass our program. At Leading Edge, we hold all students to high expectations, but provide them the resoucres to ensure they meet them.
Overview: The sad reality is that many young people, even in middle school, are experimenting with and even becoming addicted to vaping. While most of this involves nicotine, students in our community are also gaining access to marijuana vapes. The first thing parents need to understand is that vaping is widespread. Although recent data shows a decline in vaping, about 10.3% of middle school students in the U.S. reported using e-cigarettes or vaping nicotine in 2022, according to the CDC's National Youth Tobacco Survey (NYTS)
