Thank you to all the parents, staff, and students for supporting our annual trip to the Marin Headlands. Leading Edge has been organizing this trip for over a decade, and it’s always a wonderful experience for our youth. A big shout-out to LEAP for their fundraising efforts, which allowed them to donate $4,500 to help make the trip more affordable for our families!

Applications are closed for NCS
Inderkum IB and CECA
We work closely with IB and CECA to complete the recommendations process. Parents and students do not need to request recommendations, as we will communicate directly with IB and CECA about student readiness. We encourage students to apply to both programs.
Overview: We test students in reading and math using iReady during the fall and winter. These assessments provide us with detailed feedback on students' progress toward grade-level standards. Please talk to your students about the importance of doing their best and showing what they know. You can help them prepare by ensuring they complete the iReady My Path assignments, which are given in both math and reading. We will send scores home via email the week after they complete their tests.
Overview: LLEAP continues to support a wide range of school activities. This year, they’ve donated to field trips, purchased equipment for recess and activities, and provided numerous volunteers for events. We encourage you to get involved—whether in small or big ways—to help ensure our students have the resources they need.
Date: January 20 - February 14
The NCS Counseling Department will organize a Career Exploration Day for PFAA & ECA high school students on Wednesday, February 26th from 8:30-9:30 am. We are looking for volunteers to come in and do a 20-30 minute session discussing their career/job, what degree or education is needed for that career/job, and then answer questions from the students. We are looking for various careers/jobs from different areas. As much as we would like people to be able to come in person, we will also have opportunities for virtual interactions.
If you are interested or know of someone who might be interested please have them fill out the Interest Form here. (or Scan the QR below) We would like to have a confirmed list by January 31st, so students will have time to sign up for which sessions they want to attend.
Questions please reach out to Ms. Eichner meichner@natomascharter.org
