Parent To Do List:
Set aside extra time to check in with students and review grades.
Teachers have procedures for late work submissions. See newsletters for office hours.
Keep in mind teachers have 90 students, and specialty teachers work with 190-262 students. While they try to check in with every student individually, students must be proactive, attend office hours for additional support and turn in late work.
Overview: Get ready for a great evening as we come together as a community to enjoy a night of bingo, a silent auction, as we raise funds for future overnight field trips. LEAP has a goal of raising $5,000 to offset the costs of next year's overnight field trips. In addition to our silent auction, additional game cards and food can be purchased, so bring cash or your checkbook!
Get Tickets Here: Tickets include 1 Slice of Pizza, a Bag of Chips, a Drink, and 2 Game Cards.
Date: February, 23 Time: 6:00 - 8:00 pm Location: Gym
Two Ways to Support the Event
This fall CSU Sacramento is launching a unique Black Honors College. Monday evening the university is hosting a community session (in-person and virtual) to share more information with prospective students, families, and community members (RSVP to attend the session). If you are interested in learning more about the Black Honors College, as well as opportunities to mentor college students follow this link.
Natomas USD, in collaboration with Natomas Charter, Westlake Charter, and NP3, is hosting a student conference in support and celebration of our LGTBQ+ youth on Saturday, March 23rd from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. The event will feature food, student performances, a student panel, and an insightful conversation with PFAA teacher Jeff Pollard regarding the history of LGBTQ+ movement within the United States. If you are interested in performing, becoming a vendor, and/or attending, please click here for more information. Details of location will be provided to registered attendees, closer to the event. Students, staff, and families who want to volunteer for the event, please contact AJ Giersch at ajgiersch@natomasunified.org.
