Overview: Last week we had an assembly on addressing bias and stereotyping language in our community. At the assembly, we provided students with a tool to address issues when they happen: Speak Up at School. To support Natomas Charter School's ongoing effort to create a more inclusive community, read the entire assembly information letter here.
Focus: Once again, Mr. Lang has guided our 8th graders to victory in the annual CSPAN Student Cam competition. This national competition embodies our Pillar of Active Global Citizenship, as students identify a problem in their world or community and create an investigative news piece. Join us on May 20th as a representative from CSPAN will be present an award to Qingjie for her outstanding work this year. We'll also have the opportunity to view two of this year's films.

Natomas Charter School is founded on the three way compact of the student, parent, and school partnering together to support the student’s education and growth. As we end this school year and review all the growth that students have made in the last nine months, we would like to get feedback from you as parents about how you feel your child has grown and the quality of the education this year. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey about NCS (9 questions) and your child’s academy (2-4 questions). We use this feedback each year to improve the quality of the education and student experience.
Please complete the survey at this link before Saturday, June 1st: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3XZLT3M
