This Thanksgiving Natomas Charter School is organizing its 3rd annual Run to Feed the Hungry team. Run to Feed the Hungry is a 5K run/walk and 10K run on Thanksgiving morning which supports the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.
Joining our Natomas Charter School team is very simple. Simply register by using this link and it will automatically associate you with the Natomas Charter School team. All members of our team will receive an upgraded technical shirt and access to the team area with coffee, water, and snacks. Last year about 50 of us were there and had an opportunity to socialize and take a community picture before the 5k walk.
Please join the NCS Student Services Department for a Parent University screening of the film Screenagers: Under the Influence. This film explores the role of substance use and abuse in the lives of teens. In today’s world, it is assumed that almost every teen will see images of substance use and abuse on television, in film, in social media, and through other screens in their lives. They are very likely to know other young people who use substances, and many, at some point, may try those substances for themselves.
This screening is for adult caregivers of NCS students. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the film will start promptly at 7:00pm.
Our Leading Edge Media Team is creating some fun content to share with students and families. Take a look at this week's video.
