Mrs. Sanchez in Literacy Core and Mrs. Bibayoff in Humanities (Social Science and Art) continue to weave together a masterful curriculum preparing our 6th graders for the rigors of middle school and beyond.
Our families, students, and staff made Yosemite a big success this year. Students hiked the park for three days, experiencing one of the world's finest national parks. Big shout out to Mrs. Novello for leading this year's trip and brining back a Leading Edge tradtion.
Thank you Mr. Guzman and the ASB crew for making our winter "Back in Black and White" dance a night to remembers. Parents pitched in to donate food and chaperone.

Overview: Leading Edge Sixth Grade's Annual India/South Asia Cultural Day and Bazaar is Thursday, December 21st! This is one of our students' favorite events of the year. Families are welcome to join us to view the Rangoli art, see the dance performances (starting around 1:20pm), and visit the group project tables.
Donations: As always, volunteers and donations are much appreciated. Donations can be sent in to Mrs. Bibayoff or the office labeled "LE Sixth Grade". Please sign up if you are able to help that day. Thank you!
Date: December 21st Time 1:20 - 2:40 pm
Overview: LEAP has noticed the costs of field trips have gone up this year, and we appreciate our community's ongoing support in covering these fees. To help offset expenses and gradually rebuild our fundraising efforts at Leading Edge, we're introducing a new annual event—the Bingo and Silent Auction Night. We have a goal of raising $5,000 to offset the costs of next year's trips.
First Steps:
We're seeking families to join forces with us in reaching out to businesses, friends, and family to secure donations for our silent auction. As the event date draws near, we'll also be on the lookout for small food donations to boost our revenue.

Details: Our staff will take care of CECA and IB teacher recommendations for all students, you do not need to request them. In December, homeroom teachers will have 8th grade students indicate which programs they are applying to. Our staff will then complete the recommendations. Admin coordinates with the CECA and IB programs to ensure all LE students have their materials in correctly.
