Ma is brave. I know this because she had the escape plan already for Simon, and that took a lot of guts because if she got caught she would have gone to a concentration camp, and her family too.
Da is careful. I know this because he wanted to take Michael back to Ireland because he thought it was too dangerous for him, and he was also scolding Michael when he hid Simon, because he was afraid that he would get caught.
Ma is kind. I know this because when Simon was hurt and in horrible pain she bandaged him up and took care of him till he was better.
