Horst doesn't learn any lessons in the story, but there are some lessons that he should learn. One lesson is to learn to not listen to everyone who tells you something, because you have to be able to trust them and make sure their statement is true. If he learned this lesson it would affect him positively. This would affect him because he wouldn't be fighting the Jews or fighting people who don't act like him. Reagan B.
