The character's overall goal is to marry Michael. for example on page 182 in the text it says " You and I can get married, Lina said. This shows that Lina is confident and really wants to marry Michael. Also in the text on page 183 the text says " After I graduate from BDM and you graduate from the Hitler Youth, we can get married and have lots of babies for Hitler." This shows that she really wants to get married and has already planned out the whole thing.
