Phoenix Basketball Club

The trial and selection is a official guide to help coaches in making the correct decision in selecting their players for their respective teams. This is for them to tick all necessary criteria that best evaluates the player's performance over trial period and/or preseason timeframe.

CRITERIA OF ENTRY

SEASON 1 (August to December)

Student must attend the 2 weeks trial period for the coaches to evaluate their Commitment, Performance and UWCSEA Values for team placement (Blue / White / Black / Yellow / Orange);
- - Upon selection for their respective Phoenix Teams - Students will be given another week to get reassessed to get promoted to a higher team should it be necessary;
  - Students who are unable to attend the trials will be subject to consideration;
After the 2 weeks period, students will remain in their respective Phoenix Teams for the duration of the season for consistent team progress for development

SEASON 2 (January to June)

Player/Team movement due to age (year born eligibility)

All students will do a re-trial to give opportunity for promotion to a higher team to give a fair chance to everyone should they have improved over the course of the previous season;
Student must attend the 2 weeks trial period for the coaches to evaluate their Commitment, Performance and UWCSEA Values for team placement (Blue / White / Black / Yellow / Orange);
- - Upon selection for their respective Phoenix Teams - Students will be given another week to get reassessed to get promoted to a higher team should it be necessary;
  - Students who are unable to attend the trials will be subject to consideration;
After the 2 weeks period, students will remain in their respective Phoenix Teams for the duration of the season for consistent team progress

SEASON 1 (August to December) OF THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR

All students will do a re-trial to give opportunity for promotion to a higher team to give a fair chance to everyone should they have improved over the course of the previous season;
Student must attend the 2 weeks trial period for the coaches to evaluate their Commitment, Performance and UWCSEA Values for team placement (Blue / White / Black / Yellow / Orange);
