Substitute Lesson Plans
Emergency Lesson: This folder is kept in the cabinet above the classroom telephone.
Seating Charts: These are kept in a teacher folder on the podium. Updated Charts are stored in plastic sleeves with Period tabs. Rosters are also kept on the back of each sleeve. Students must sit in their assigned seats.
Absence Record: Rosters for all classes are located on the back of each Seating Chart sleeve in the teacher folder.
Phone List: Classroom and Administration Directories are posted on a bulletin board next to the front desk. To contact Administration, Dial 32813 for Marissa Rall. Dial 32801 for the office and ask for an AP to be radioed if you cannot reach an administrator. Dial 32811 for Alma Perez to reach the office manager.
Schedule: I teach periods 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7. The bell schedule is posted on the teacher bulletin board.
Supplies: My podium has Campus Passes, Infractions, Post-it notes, paperclips, pens, and pencils. Class documents are kept in numbered baskets behind the whiteboard that is closest to the podium. A stapler and other supplies are also kept in this cabinet.
Behavior Expectations: Students are expected to line up outside of class and wait for the teacher to greet them at the door. They will enter class quietly and immediately sit in their assigned seat. Once seated, students will immediately get out their iPads and open telelearn.org, Clever, McGraw Hill and Google Classroom.
Give a warning to any student who misbehaves, but if multiple problems occur, send the student to a buddy teacher. Students must follow these three rules: Respect People and Property, Follow Instructions, and Eat Outside.
Early Finishers: If students finish the lesson early, they will work on assignments posted in the McGraw Hill Dashboard.
Buddy Room(s): Send any disruptive student to Rob Pearson (Room 228). If this teacher is not available, send a student to Stephanie Backowski (Room 229).
Bathroom & Water Policies: Students may not leave during the first and last ten minutes of class. Allow only one student to leave class at a time. Students will use their iPad to scan a QR Code located on the wall next to the front door. Tardy students will use their iPad to scan a Green QR Code. Students should remain in their seats throughout the period and need to wait until the bell rings to throw away trash or use the sink. Students are not allowed in the Pod.
Emergency Backpack: This is located in the cabinet above the sink. The class sign is kept on top of the cabinets above the sink. The backpack has all class rosters and attendance forms.
Duty: I have afternoon duty every Thursday from 1:58-2:15pm at the Main Front Gate Crossing located near the front office of Bear Valley Middle School.
