The crash was reported on San Pasqual Valley Road at around 8:30 p.m., according to Escondido Police Department Lt. Scott Walters. A man, woman, and two boys were walking when they were hit by a northbound vehicle, Walters said. The 33-year-old and 11-year-old male victims died at the scene and a 50-year-old woman and 10-year-old boy died of their injuries at Palomar Medical Center, authorities said." NBC San Diego

NYPD detective Harry Houck tells John Stossel that he agrees bite mark analysis has problems, but that it can be used as one piece in a puzzle to convict people. Other methods have flaws, too. Even fingerprint analysis sometimes goes wrong, as do carpet fiber evidence, gun tracing, and hair matching. Stossel asks Fabricant: “Why do judges admit this stuff? Why don’t defense attorneys get it thrown out?” Fabricant answers, “We all went to law school because we don’t know science, we don’t know math. Former Clark County, Indiana Sheriff, Jamey Noel, is awaiting trial on 25 felony charges.He has pled not guilty. As part of the case, Noel was ordered to surrender all his weapons, except for one shotgun, but during a search of his home, the judge says other firearms were found.
