Capitalize and correctly spell both the Capital and State on each line of the United States Capitals Pretest in preparation for the test on Thursday, September 1. Students must recognize the two letter state abbreviations and identify all states on the United States Alpha-Numbered Map.

United States Capitals Pretest
A Capital and a State are each worth one point. Capitalize and correctly spell both the Capital and State. Use the Capitals List to correctly spell each Capital. Any Capital or State that is misspelled or not capitalized will lose one point. Capitals are typed in the "a" answer field and States are typed in the "b" answer field. Switching the correct Capital and correct State will mark both answers incorrect. A space or period placed at the end of an answer will also lose one point.
This United States Capitals Pretest is UNGRADED, but provides each student the opportunity to practice for the test tomorrow.
United States Geography Test Instructions
With the United States Capitals Test now complete, students will need to prepare for the United States Geography Test. This comprehensive test will require students to know the locations of ALL States and their Capitals. The exam will use the same answer format as the Capitals Test, but instead of typing Capitals and States in alphabetical order, students will type each Capital and State next to the number that matches a numbered United States Geography Test Map. State Abbreviations are NOT provided for the United States Geography Test. The Capitals List is provided. Take the United States Geography Pretest to practice for this upcoming test.
