Looking ahead to Term 4

  • Hello everybody and welcome to Term 4. I am very excited that we will be learning face to face from next week!


  • This week we will preview some of the sports we are likely to explore in Term 4


  • Please choose 2 out of the 3 tasks below and complete them this week so you can begin to prepare for the skills you will learn and develop in Term 4


Basketball

  • Dribbling and Ball Control

  • Remember to use your finger tips to bounce the ball

  • Try moving side to side to replicate a game scenario

  • Can you bounce the ball through your legs?

  • What else can you do? Experiment and test your skills!

Tennis

  • Ball control is very important in tennis

  • Keep your eyes focused on the ball

  • Adjust how soft or hard you are hitting the ball to help maintain control

  • Move around and see if you can keep control of the ball

  • Can you hit the ball between your legs? What else can you do to further challenge yourself?

Cricket


  • Ball control and hand-eye coordination

  • Watching the ball closely is very important when attempting to hit it

  • How many times can you hit it up to yourself in a row?

  • Can you hit it up to yourself using the edge of your bat?
