Opportunities
Position: Davidson Fellows
Location: Davidson, NC (In-Person)
Position Description: The Davidson Fellows program is a 9-month leadership & discipleship program for recent college graduates.
We’ve designed this program to lay the foundation for “what’s next” and to give you the tools, the understanding, and the network to start well as a young adult. We’re hosted at Storyhill Church in Davidson NC, and for 9 months you’ll enter a community and ecosystem that helps you lay a solid foundation that you can then build the next part of your life on. Our hope is for you to move forward with confidence about who God is, who you are, and what is ahead.
You’ll be placed in a job in your field of study or vocational interest, so as you begin to develop skills and a career network. You’ll be challenged and encouraged to orient the direction of your life around who God is and who he made you to be. We’ve built the program to deepen our relationship with God through classes (Bible survey, etc) and spiritual formation (prayer, silent retreats, etc). We’ll explore the joys and challenges of our relationships with others through our relationships at work, among other fellows, with our host families, and among those we serve with in the community. And we’ll spend some time understanding our relationships with ourselves through things like mentorship and guided reflection, seeking to understand how our past can be a part of what helps us but also what, left unexamined, can limit us. And in community, we’ll push one another to more fully be who God made us to be and to live a life worthy of the calling God has put on each of our lives.
It’s a great next step - one that will pay dividends for the rest of your life and make you a better leader, employee, friend, and person. Is there a better investment than one on yourself?

Position: Summer Internship
Location: Davidson, NC (In-Person)
Position Description: Storyhill has been welcoming Summer Ministry Interns for nearly a decade, and our heart behind this program is to help interns grow as followers of Jesus, as professionals in their field, and as engaged members of a Christ-centered community. Interns serve 15 hours each week in a specific ministry area and spend an additional 5 hours together in cohort-based experiences focused on connection and growth. At the core of the Summer Ministry Internship are three key pillars: discipleship, professional development, and community.
Three Pillars:
1. Discipleship: Ministry Interns will participate in a summer-long Bible study and a weekly book discussion. These individuals examine several spiritual practices that will give time for stillness and going deeper into their faith. We also challenge our Ministry Interns to serve in meaningful ways. Lastly, they will receive individual training from their ministry area supervisors through one-on-one weekly meetings.
2. Professional Development: Ministry Interns serve in a specific ministry area and learn the soft and hard skills required to contribute to that ministry in a meaningful way. Throughout the summer, Ministry Interns interact and build relationships with ministry partners, elders, and other staff at Storyhill. We aim to help each participant consider how to be ministry-minded regardless of their chosen career path.
3. Community: Ministry Interns will build Christ-centered community with the other college-aged students that are a part of the Ministry Intern cohort. We will have exciting activities planned for summer interns to help create the strong bond this program can build. Summer interns are also expected to lead by helping to create community with other college students at college Bible study.
Ministry Areas:
Worship & Arts (includes music, arts, AV/tech teams)
Kids Ministry (ministry to babies through 5th grade)
Youth Ministry (ministry to middle schoolers and high schoolers)
Missions (includes serving locally, mission trips, supporting missions organizations, donation drives, etc.)
Facilities (ad-hoc tasks that include volunteer management, facility maintenance, vendor relations, and more)
Communications (includes social media, graphic design, website development, photography, etc.)
Small Groups (helping people get connected to Summer Studies and other small pockets of community)
