Position: Public Health Intern
Position Description: The FACTS Initiative seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Public Health Intern to join our team. This mostly remote internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public health research, data collection, analysis, and reporting. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting our projects aimed at eliminating barriers to mental wellness and maintaining high-quality care by ensuring our well-trained providers and staff are cared for.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research:
Conduct literature reviews on various public health topics.
Gather information from credible sources to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
2. Data Collection:
Collect and organize data from surveys, interviews, and other sources.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
3. Data Analysis:
Analyze collected data using statistical tools and software.
Identify trends, patterns, and insights from the data.
4. Report Creation:
Create detailed reports showcasing the analyzed data.
Present findings in a clear and concise manner, suitable for various stakeholders.
5. Collaboration:
Work closely with team members to support project goals and objectives.
Attend virtual team meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Supervision and Mentorship: The Public Health Intern will have the opportunity to meet with their supervisor once per week for 45-60 minutes virtually. During these meetings, the intern will receive guidance, feedback, and support to ensure their professional growth and success in the role.

Responsibilities:
Curate and create engaging mental health content for our social media accounts.
Post 2-3 times per week on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Collaborate closely with our CEO to receive images and content ideas.
Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement and followers.
Monitor and respond to social media interactions in a timely manner.
Provide regular updates and feedback on social media performance.
Stay updated on current social media trends and best practices.

Create and manage the agency’s newsletter, ensuring content is engaging and informative.

Continually evaluate the effectiveness of past marketing materials and campaigns.
Write copy for social media posts, email campaigns, and other communication channels.

Qualifications:
