Position: Seasonal Internships
Position Description: DCP seeks seasonal interns in Production and Education. Ideal for college students or early-career arts professionals, these internships provide apprentice-style positions for candidates looking for part-time work for 3-4 months.
Seasons are defined as the following:
FALL: September - December
SPRING: January-April
SUMMER: May-August
Internships can be tailored to the individual, but basic duties for each department may include:
Education:
Assisting the Education Director with administrative duties.
Attending classes and camps to ensure smooth operations and quality control.
Collaborating with the Education Director on new outreach initiatives.
Production:
Assisting on carpentry and scenic painting projects.
Assisting on load-ins and strikes.
Participating on production crews as board operator, wardrobe, or run crew.
Working as an Assistant Stage Manager.
Interns are paid $13/hr and may work 10-30 hours/week depending on interest and availability.

Position Description:
Set Construction
Assist with set building
Help load in the set to the stage
Help break down and strike the set when a show closes
Assist with scenic painting
Errand Runners
Fetch meals, costumes, and props across the Charlotte region
Assist with moving large prop items and scenic elements to various locations (pick-up truck/large van helpful)
House Managers
Supervise and train all Front of House volunteers
Act as the direct liaison with the Stage Manager of the show
There is a small stipend with this position
Experience is required
Ushers
Tidy the theatre before and after a show
Hand out playbills to patrons
Assist patrons with finding their seats
Assist with selling concessions
Box Office Assistant
Check patrons in upon arrival to a show
Sell tickets to walk up patrons
Must be comfortable with computers
Costume Assistants
Assist actors with quick costume changes during a show
Set Crew
Move set pieces during scene changes in a show
Board Operators
Operate light board
Operate sound board
Operate spotlight
