We are an all-volunteer organization led by a team with many years of experience helping immigrants become American citizens.

Position: Volunteer-Remote Tutors
Location: Remote
Position Description: Volunteers serve as remote tutors supporting immigrants preparing for the USCIS citizenship test. The role focuses on both academic guidance and providing encouragement throughout the process.
Impact: Volunteers play a key role in helping immigrants successfully pass the citizenship test, with over 90% of applicants achieving success. Beyond test preparation, tutors provide encouragement and support during an important life milestone.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with citizenship applicants
Review USCIS test questions and materials
Help applicants build confidence ahead of their exam
Provide a supportive and encouraging learning environment
Training & Support
No prior tutoring or legal knowledge required
Volunteers receive a tutor handbook and attend an orientation session
Ongoing guidance and support from a volunteer coordinator is available
Time Commitment:
Flexible scheduling based on mutual availability
Typically 1–2 hours per week per applicant
Opportunity to work with multiple applicants depending on availability
