About Us 

Project Outpour is a grassroots nonprofit organization providing free mobile showers and hygiene services to individuals moving through homelessness in Charlotte-Mecklenburg. We believe that being and feeling clean is a basic human right—and we meet our neighbors where they are to promote dignity. 

Internship Opportunity 

We are currently seeking skilled, passionate, and compassionate students who are eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our unhoused neighbors. Interns will support our mission by contributing to the day-to-day operations and long-term sustainability of our work. 

We’re looking for a dynamic intern to support in the following areas: 

• Digital Marketing – Content creation, social media strategy, storytelling, and campaign support. 

• Program Operations – Assist with coordination, outreach, logistics, and direct service efforts. 

• Data Management – Track services, maintain records, analyze data for program improvement. 

• Administrative Assistance – Support day-to-day tasks, scheduling, and internal communications. Ideal Candidate Qualities 

• Passionate about community service and social impact 

• Comfortable working with ALL people, in fast-paced, adaptive environments 

• A strong communicator and self-starter 

• Interested in supporting a small but mighty team doing big work 

• Committed to equity, dignity, and compassion in service 

Please note: Due to the grassroots nature of our work, priorities may shift. Interns may support one or more of the focus areas listed based on organizational need and intern capacity.
