Purpose
To standardize subscription management in Recharge, including creation, updates, cancellations, address changes, and discount application, ensuring accuracy and a consistent customer experience.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Guideline:
When processing an order in Shopify, the subscription must be manually created in Recharge.
Important Rules:
All subscription-related actions (updates, pauses, cancellations) must be done directly in Recharge
Do NOT manage subscriptions in Shopify
Tip:
Always confirm the subscription is successfully created in Recharge after processing the order.
Steps:
Go to Actions
Click Cancel Subscription
Select the cancellation reason
Tip:
Always verify the subscription status after cancellation to ensure it is properly updated.
Steps:
Open the subscription
Click Add New Address
Select the associated payment method
Enter the new shipping address
Click Add Address to save
Tip:
Ensure the new address is applied to the correct subscription to avoid shipping errors.
Part 1: Create Discount Code
Go to Recharge
Open dropdown (right panel) → Click Discounts
Click Create Discount Code
Enter discount code name
Select Percentage as discount type
Enter 20%
Choose applicability:
All products, or
Specific product(s)
Under Channel Control, select Merchant Portal Only (uncheck others)
Set application limit (if applicable)
Set expiration date
Click Create Discount
Copy generated discount code
Click Save
Part 2: Apply Discount to Subscription/Order
14. Go to Recharge Order Main Page
15. Under Address section, locate “No Discount”
16. Click and paste the discount code
Tip:
Always verify that the discount is successfully applied before exiting the page.
