Creating an Order

Objective

Ensure all customer and order details are entered accurately in Shopify to prevent fulfilment issues and ensure customers receive their shipping confirmations.

Why It Matters

⚠️ Incomplete or incorrect details (Name, Shipping Address, Phone Number, or Email) will cause:

Order processing errors
PBS unable to upload tracking numbers
Customer not receiving shipping confirmation

Always double-check all details before finalizing any order.

✅ Steps When Creating an Order

🖱️ 1. Access Orders

☐ From the Shopify Admin Panel, click Orders
☐ Click Create Order

📦 2. Add the Product

☐ Search for the product the customer wants to order
☐ Select the correct product and variant (size, flavor, quantity, etc.)
☐ Confirm that all product details and pricing are accurate

👤 3. Add or Select the Customer

☐ In the Customer section, type the customer’s name
☐ Select the correct existing customer profile to ensure the order links to the right record

🆕 4. Create a New Customer (If Not Existing)

If no existing record is found:

☐ Click Create Customer
☐ Enter the following completely and correctly:

First Name & Last Name
Email Address
Phone Number
Shipping Address (start typing and select a valid suggestion from Shopify’s lookup)

☐ Click Save

🔍 5. Review Order Details

☐ Verify product(s), quantity, price, and shipping details
☐ Double-check all Customer Information:

✅ Name
✅ Shipping Address
✅ Phone Number
✅ Email Address

💳 6. Process Payment

☐ Choose the correct payment method or mark as paid, if applicable
☐ Review the total before saving

💾 7. Save and Confirm

☐ Click Create Order
☐ Confirm that the order appears in the Orders list

Notice the following details are complete:

✅ Correct product(s) listed with quantity and price
✅ Customer name and contact email
✅ Shipping address fully filled in (Street, City, State, ZIP, Country)
✅ Phone number included
✅ Billing address confirmed
