Virtual PLCs

Now more than ever, BPS educators want a space to connect and share with each other. These virtual professional learning community (VPLC) groups are a space to connect with colleagues from across Boston Public Schools. Participants can collaborate with same-role colleagues from other schools, share resources, and troubleshoot.

Each virtual professional learning community group will have two key ingredients:

Google Classroom to host online discussions and sharing. (each participant is added as a ‘student’)
Virtual monthly meet-up (~1 hr/month) to connect with peers and share resources.

Low Intensity

Connect: Join the Google Classroom. Meet new colleagues. See what others are posting/sharing. Engage in the conversation when you want.

Medium Intensity

Share: Join the Google Classroom and our monthly live group check-ins (~1 hr/month). Share at least one artifact/resource with the group. Track your hours. Earn up to 10 PD hours.

High Intensity

Innovate: Work as a team on a shared challenge/problem of practice. Document and share your progress. Track your hours. Earn 1 academic lane credit (ALC).
