Story Slam
During a Story Slam, you join with a group of BPS colleagues in a friendly story telling competition around a specific prompt or topic, in the vein of a poetry slam.
THANK YOU for those who attended our very first story slam event in February. On February 1, we hosted “How to Tell a Good Story” PD workshop. Then on February 9, we hosted an in-person story slam event at Dudley Cafe in Nubian Square. Across the two sessions, we had 16 participants join from 14 different schools or departments.

Participant Feedback
After the session, 100% of participants (14 out of 14 exit ticket responses) said that they would recommend these sessions to a colleague. Additional comments from participants:
Loved the stories that people shared. I liked how you set it up so it was a safe space to share.
I loved the idea of the structured protocol for getting ideas on to paper with my late elementary/ middle school students. This could make it a little more creative and fun.
The stories were near and dear to the storytellers and well thought out. They all kept us laughing.
