Participant Feedback
After the session, 100% of participants (19 out of 19 exit ticket responses) said that they would recommend this session to a colleague. Additional comments from participants:
Loved hearing from my colleagues about their successes and the connection to leadership that built on the research presentation.
Hearing about colleagues' real experiences (good and bad!) is always powerful!
I loved the breakout session with Jess and Brittany. It was really encouraging especially because I'm new to the librarian role and the library is new to my school. The information was amazing and they were both open and honest about the issues that they dealt with at their schools and who we should call to help us.
Participant Takeaways
Based on this session, here’s some things that participants want to try in their own classrooms/schools:
Laverne's video reminds me that I need to do a better job to keep visual documentation of changes to the space to share later.
Brittany's ideas about getting students more involved in the leadership part of the library... love this!
Learn to lean on other librarians for help and knowledge. In the breakout room the 2 ladies were so helpful. I would love to foster relationships and visit other school libraries ( that was suggested in our breakout room) to give you an idea of set up and how school libraries are being run.
