THANK YOU to everyone who attended the Connect & Share webinar on the topic “How can we support all students to succeed in every classroom?” This event was co-sponsored by Central Office Inclusion Team. We had 72 people attend the session from 33 different schools or departments. After the session, 95% of participants (40 out of 42 exit ticket responses) said that they would recommend this session to a colleague. Additional comments from participants:
Thank you for letting us do this and talk about our work because sometimes it feels like no one is listening
There was such an incredible variety of deep, rich resources!! And everything was so easy to access due to the organization of the presentations and sharing of the materials prior to the zoom.
So many things went well. I got lots of ideas and input. Really helped me refocus and reenergize.
Based on this session, here’s some things that participants want to try in their own classrooms/schools:
We heard about a wide range of strategies to implement in our classrooms, from a Tier 1 pedagogical strategy to a co-teaching strategy to a Tier 3 digital tool.”
Implement more of the basic UDL framework to emphasize student choice more regularly.
I definitely want to try hyperdocs, especially to preview content for multilingual learners

THANK YOU to everyone who attended the Connect & Share webinar to discuss how we explored different methods for the delivery of AP curriculum to Motivate and Engaging all Learners enrolled in the class. We co-hosted this session with The Department of AP and IB instruction. We had 21 participants join from 8 different BPS schools/departments join this session. After the session, 100% of participants (21 out of 21 exit ticket responses) said that they would recommend this session to a colleague. Below is some feedback from the session:
“Information was practical, doable and can immediately be applied. “
“I really enjoyed the diversity of the topics shared.”
“Non-AP teachers could easily apply strategies offered by the presenters- Even the idea of having students face and deal with productive struggles, working in groups more, or having students do the heavy lifting.”
Based on this session, here’s some things that participants want to try in their own schools:
“Student input on the pacing guide.”
“More peer-to-peer teaching, more strategies for building AP culture in school, more use of whiteboards in class,”
“Although I am not currently teaching AP, just hearing the practice of planning and opening up the curriculum to the students is helpful and something that I may try.”
