After the session, 100% of participants (23 out of 23 exit ticket responses) said that they would recommend this session to a colleague. Below is some feedback from the session:
Both presentations in breakout room 1 were great! I took a few ideas away. The time was perfect-didn't feel rushed and didn't feel like it was too long
I loved seeing other librarians' physical and virtual spaces and how they work to make all students feel welcome and part of the community.
Based on this session, here’s some things that participants want to try in their own schools:
Thinking about how I can do more book talks to introduce students to new authors and books that they would not typically choose.
I am interested in trying to have students make book trailers. I also am thinking about bilingual signage. I currently have English language and pictures for our ESD and EL students.
Implementing units to introduce them to diverse texts/books they may not normally read
Connect & Share Panel Discussions are a chance for colleagues to come together and share ideas about what's working in their classrooms and in their schools. All topics came from the Telescope Network's June Needs Assessment Survey asking educators what they needed to feel successful in this upcoming school year.
