Mouse
[Lion puppet lies down at center screen, stretching and settling to rest.]
Lion (sleepily, yawning): What a long day… time for a nap.
[Mouse puppet scurries onto the screen, moving quickly and playfully.]
Mouse (cheerfully, darting around): What a big place to explore!
[Mouse accidentally runs across Lion.]
[Lion suddenly wakes and lifts a paw, trapping Mouse.]
Lion (roaring softly, leaning forward): Who dares disturb my rest?
[Mouse wiggles under Lion’s paw.]
Mouse (frightened, shaking): Please, Lion! Let me go! One day, I might help you!
[Lion pauses, then chuckles.]
Lion (amused, lifting paw): You? Help me? You are so small!
[Mouse stands still, looking up.]
Mouse (earnestly): Kindness is never wasted.
[Lion slowly releases Mouse.]
Lion (calmly): Very well. Go, little one.
[Mouse scurries away quickly.]
[Time passes—Lion walks proudly, then suddenly gets “caught” in a net.]
Lion (struggling, roaring): What is this? I’m trapped!
[Mouse reappears, hearing Lion.]
Mouse (determined, running forward): Don’t worry, Lion! I will help you!
[Mouse “gnaws” at the net with small movements.]
[Net loosens; Lion breaks free.]
Lion (grateful, lowering head): You have saved me!
[Mouse stands proudly.]
Mouse (smiling): Even the smallest can help the greatest.
[Lion nods respectfully.]
Mouse: No act of kindness is ever too small.
