Fox
[Hare puppet hops onto the screen, ears held high and moving.]
Hare (proudly, bouncing side to side): Look at my ears! They are long and strong. I can hear everything!
[Fox puppet sneaks onto the screen, moving quietly.]
Fox (smiling slyly, circling): Everything, you say?
[Hare lifts ears higher, listening carefully.]
Hare (confidently, turning head): Yes! I can hear danger from far away. Nothing can surprise me!
[Fox creeps closer, staying low.]
Fox (softly, testing): Then you must hear me coming…
[Hare pauses, ears twitching.]
Hare (slightly unsure): Of course I do!
[Fox suddenly steps closer.]
Fox (quickly, leaning in): Then why didn’t you move?
[Hare jumps back, startled.]
Hare (nervously, hopping backward): I… I was just waiting!
[Fox circles slowly.]
Fox (calmly): Ears alone do not keep you safe.
[Hare lowers ears slightly, thinking.]
Hare (quietly): I must listen… and act wisely.
[Fox nods, stepping back.]
Fox (final line): Having a gift is not enough—you must use it well.
