Have you ever dreaded something that turns out to not be so bad after all? Moxy is suppose to read Stuart Little by E.B. White over the summer break as an assignment from her new teacher. Summer is coming to an end and she hasn't done it. Now, she MUST stay in her room until she finishes this book. This book is told over the course of one day. Of course, Moxy does not hop right to the task at hand and goes round and round with her mother ALL day. This book is funny AND so realistic that most kids will be able to easily relate.

The layout is different and keeps the book moving at a fast pace. Some chapters are one sentence long so there are 42 chapters crammed in 91 pages. The chapter titles are very descriptive and fun. For example, Chapter 34 is titled "In Which the Screen Door Slams and Dum . . .da dum-dum . . ." which is followed by one whole sentence. Many readers will find the original style appealing.

Don't delay, read Moxy Maxwell Does Not Love Stuart Little by Peggy Gifford today.
