Falling In

The front cover is very sparkly and girly. It doesn't really represent the true audience for this fantasy book. Isabelle is an outcast, plain and simple. She likes to flaunt the rules and one day while on the way to the principal's office she finds herself tumbling into another world in the nurse's closet. Here she learns of a witch that all the children are fleeing from. However, true to her contrary nature, Isabelle goes in search of the witch. She discovers the "witch" isn't a witch at all and more importantly she is her grandmother! Can Isabelle change the perceptions of this world and the reality of her own? Read Falling In by Frances O'Roark Dowell (despite its cover).
