[Crow puppet perches on a branch, holding a piece of food in its beak.]
Crow (proudly, swaying slightly): What a fine meal I have found!
[Fox puppet sneaks onto the screen, moving low and quietly.]
Fox (looking up, smiling slyly): Good day, Crow! You look especially beautiful today.
[Crow tilts head, pleased.]
Crow (puffing up): Oh? You think so?
Fox (stepping closer, flattering): Your feathers shine, and I’ve heard your voice is even more wonderful.
[Crow shifts excitedly on the branch.]
Crow (eagerly): My voice? Yes, it is quite lovely!
Fox (gesturing upward): Please, sing for me! I would be honored to hear it.
[Crow lifts head proudly.]
Crow (getting ready): Very well! Listen closely!
[Crow opens beak to sing. The food drops from its mouth.]
[Fox quickly darts forward and grabs it.]
Fox (grinning, holding food): Thank you for your song—and your meal!
[Crow flaps wings in frustration.]
Crow (upset, hopping): Oh no! I’ve been fooled!
[Fox begins to walk away.]
Fox (calling back): Flattery is a powerful trick.
[Crow settles back on the branch, sighing.]
Crow (final line): Do not trust those who praise too much.
