The Wolf and His Shadow

[Wolf puppet walks onto screen, moving slowly and looking proud.]

Wolf : I am the strongest wolf in the forest!No one can match me!

[Shadow puppet appears on the “ground” behind Wolf puppet.]

Shadow: Hello, Wolf! I follow you wherever you go!

[Wolf puppet looks down at Shadow puppet, tilting head.]

Wolf: What’s that? A smaller wolf behind me?

[Shadow puppet moves in sync with Wolf puppet.]

Wolf (stepping forward and back): Hmm… it copies everything I do!

[Wolf puppet jumps, Shadow puppet jumps in sync.]

Wolf (stepping side to side): I must be the biggest and strongest… but this shadow follows me everywhere!

[Wolf puppet steps carefully, tilting head, looking thoughtful.]

Wolf: I see now… even the mighty have things that follow them and remind them of themselves.

[Shadow puppet stays in place; Wolf puppet nods slowly.]

Wolf: Don’t be proud or boast too much…everyone has limits and reflections!
