Characters:
Heron
Fisherman
[Heron puppet stands gracefully at the edge of the water, still and tall.]
Heron (calmly, tilting head): Patience… that is the key to catching the best fish.
[Fisherman puppet enters, moving quickly and splashing “water.”]
Fisherman (impatient, waving rod): I must catch fish fast! There’s no time to wait.
[Heron puppet shifts slightly, eyes following the water calmly.]
Heron (quietly, rocking gently): Haste can ruin the chance for a good catch.
[Fisherman puppet pulls rod back and forth frantically.]
Fisherman (frustrated): Why aren’t the fish biting? I’ve tried everything!
[Heron puppet slowly lowers beak into the water, waiting.]
Heron (patiently): Stillness and careful watch bring success.
[Time passes. Heron puppet lifts beak with a “fish” slowly in it.]
Heron (smiling, standing tall): See? Patience brings the reward.
[Fisherman puppet stops, looking surprised and thoughtful.]
Fisherman (quietly, lowering rod): I should have waited…
[Heron puppet flaps wings lightly, then slowly exits.]
Heron (final line): Wisdom lies in patience, not in haste.
