[Crow puppet flies onto screen and lands.]
Crow: Caw… caw… I am so thirsty! I need water… soon!
[Crow puppet looks around, turning side to side.]
Crow: Where can I find a drink?
[Pitcher puppet appears on screen.]
Pitcher (calm): Hello there, Crow.
Crow (excited): A pitcher! Maybe there’s water inside!
[Crow puppet leans toward pitcher opening.]
Crow: Yes! There is water! But… it’s too low!
Pitcher: Can you reach it?
[Crow puppet tries to dip beak down.]
Crow: No… I can’t reach!
[Crow puppet pulls back.]
Crow: I need to think…
[Crow puppet looks around slowly.]
Crow: Wait… what are these?
[Crow puppet moves toward small “rocks” (imaginary or mimed).]
Crow: Little stones!
Pitcher: What will you do with them?
Crow (thinking): Maybe… just maybe…
[Crow puppet picks up a stone and drops it into pitcher.]
Crow: Plop!
Pitcher: Oh! The water is rising!
[Crow repeats picking up and dropping stones.]
Crow: Plop! …Plop! …Plop!
Pitcher: Higher… and higher!
[Crow continues until beak can reach.]
Crow (excited): It’s working!
[Crow puppet leans in again.]
Crow: Now I can reach!
[Crow puppet dips beak to drink.]
Crow: Ahhh… refreshing!
Pitcher: You solved the problem!
[Crow puppet lifts head proudly.]
Crow: Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
