The Dog and The Wolf

Wolf

[Dog stands happily, wagging tail.]

Dog (cheerfully): Life is easy! I have food every day and a warm place to sleep.

[Wolf enters slowly, looking thin.]

Wolf (curiously): How do you live so well?

Dog (proudly): I serve my master, and he feeds me.

[Wolf steps closer, noticing something.]

Wolf (concerned): What is that mark on your neck?

Dog (casually): Oh, that’s just my collar.

[Wolf steps back.]

Wolf (firmly): You may have comfort, but I have freedom.

[Wolf turns to leave.]

Wolf: Freedom is more valuable than a full belly.
