[Fox puppet walks slowly onto screen.]
Fox: Ohhh… I am so hungry. I’ve been walking all day! I need something to eat… and fast.
[Fox puppet looks up.]
Fox (excited): Wait! What’s that? Grapes?! Big, juicy, beautiful grapes!
[Grapes puppet appears hanging high on screen.]
Grapes (cheerful): Hello down there, Fox! We are the sweetest grapes you’ll ever taste!
Fox: Perfect! Just what I need! I’ll jump and grab you!
[Fox puppet jumps up toward grapes.]
Fox: Hup! …Oh! Almost…
Grapes (teasing): Too slow, Fox! Try again!
Fox (determined): I will! Watch this!
[Fox puppet jumps higher.]
Fox: HUP! …Ugh! Still too high!
Grapes: You’ll have to jump higher than that!
Fox (frustrated): I can do it… I just need a better jump…
[Fox puppet backs up slightly, then jumps again.]
Fox: HUUUP!…No! I still can’t reach you!
Grapes (playful): We’re right here, Fox! So close… but not quite!
[Fox puppet droops or lowers slightly.]
Fox (panting): I’m tired… and hungry… Why are you so high up?!
Grapes: Maybe you just can’t reach us!
[Fox puppet turns slightly away.]
Fox (annoyed): That’s not true! I could reach you if I wanted to!
[Fox puppet pauses, then turns fully away from grapes.]
Fox (sniffing): Hmmph! You know what? You probably aren’t even good!
Grapes (surprised): What?!
Fox: Yes! You’re probably sour grapes! I don’t want you anyway!
[Fox puppet walks away.]
Grapes (shrugging): Oh well… more for someone else!
[Fox puppet pauses briefly, then keeps walking.]
Fox: Definitely sour!
Grapes: It’s easy to say something isn’t good when you can’t have it!
