Grasshopper
[Owl puppet appears perched quietly on a branch, still and calm.]
Owl (softly, barely moving): What a peaceful night… perfect for rest.
[Grasshopper puppet hops onto the screen, moving energetically.]
Grasshopper (cheerful, bouncing around): What a great night to sing!
[Grasshopper begins “chirping,” moving up and down.]
Grasshopper (loudly): Chirp! Chirp! Chirp!
[Owl puppet shifts slightly, tilting head.]
Owl (gently): Please, Grasshopper… your song is very loud. I am trying to sleep.
[Grasshopper continues hopping, unconcerned.]
Grasshopper (playfully): Oh, Owl! Night is the best time for music!
[Grasshopper chirps even louder.]
Grasshopper: Chirp! Chirp! Chirp!
[Owl pauses, then slowly straightens.]
Owl (calmly, with a new tone): You do have a lovely voice…
[Grasshopper stops and turns toward Owl.]
Grasshopper (proudly): You think so?
[Owl nods slowly.]
Owl (smoothly): Yes… come closer, and sing where I can hear you better.
[Grasshopper happily hops closer to Owl.]
Grasshopper (excited): Of course! Listen closely!
[Grasshopper moves right next to Owl and begins chirping again.]
[Quick motion—Owl “snaps” forward.]
[Grasshopper suddenly stops moving.]
[Owl settles back onto the branch.]
Owl (quietly): At last… some peace and quiet.
[Owl remains still as the scene fades.]
Owl (final line): Think before you act.
