The Fox and the Cat

Characters:

Fox

Cat

[Fox puppet struts confidently onto the screen.]

Fox (boasting, pacing): I know a hundred clever tricks to escape danger!

[Cat puppet sits calmly.]

Cat (quietly, tail swaying): I know just one trick.

[Fox laughs.]

Fox (teasing): Only one? That’s not very impressive!

[Suddenly both react to danger.]

Fox (panicking, darting around): Oh no! Which trick should I use?!

[Cat quickly “climbs” upward.]

Cat (calmly):  I will use mine.

[Fox runs in confusion.]

Fox (frantic): I can’t decide!

[Cat watches from above.]

Cat: One good plan is better than many confused ones.
