5.06 - Defect administration

Squash TM supports the connection with the bugtrackers Mantis and Jira. It is possible to report an issue from the following spaces:

• The execution consultation page

• The execution pop-up window

• The OER interface.

The following procedure is the same in the three spaces.

A user can attach an existing defect or report a new defect.

Prerequisite: A bugtracker was configured. A Squash project was created in the Bugtracker with strictly the same name in Squash TM and in the Bugtracker.

1. If you are not connected to your bugtracker from Squash TM, click on [Log in] or [Report an issue]. A pop-up window « Sign in» in which you have to fill the « name » and « password » fields opens.

2. Click on [Log in], the pop-up window shuts itself and the Issues unit displays the table of the issues detected during the step/test case execution.

3. To report a new issue or to attach an existing defect, click on [Report an issue]. A pop-up window « Report a defect » opens.

4. Fill the fields in and click on [Add]. The pop-up window shuts itself and the Issues unit returns. A temporal link enables you to display the issue in the bugtracker.

Tip

The reported issues during the execution or from the execution are added to the Known Issues tab in the Campaign/iteration/test suite consultation page in which the issue has been report.

By clicking on the ID number of the issue, the user opens the bugtracker defect page.
