A new documentation is available for Squash TM 2.0 and later versions, check it here
The plugin Xsquash4Jira can upload into JIRA some information from Squash TM. For each synchronized JIRA issue, this information is stored in JIRA custom fields created for that purpose.
Seven fields are available: 3 rates of progress (as numbers between 0 and 100) of the testing process (writing the test cases, checking the JIRA issue, validating the JIRA issue), the same rates as a string formated as follows : rate% (x/y) where rate is the rate of progress, and x and y the number of tests that led to the rate, and finally a field which presents a synthetic analysis of these 3 rates: " Status of the testing process".
Using this reporting is optional. It is possible to configure the plugin not to report anything into JIRA or to report any combination of these 7 fields. This configuration is made in the project administration in Squash TM and can thus be different for each synchronization.
If you intend to use these report fields in JIRA, you have to create the corresponding Custom Field in JIRA and attach them to the issues of the perimeter.
The values for these fields will be uploaded according to the progress of the testing process during each updating session.
The JIRA Custom Fields are mapped in the second block of the 'Configure the Xsquash4JIRA plugin' screen.
If you don't want to use some of these fields, just leave them empty in the configuration screen. You may use none of them if you want.
