4.13 - Test Case Dashboard

It is possible to display a default dashboard or a custom dashboard of selected elements in the library.

The selection can be:

    • a project

    • a folder

    • a multiple selection of test cases and/or folders and/or projects ([Ctrl] + click)

4.13.1 Default dashboard

Prerequisite: A project and test cases have already been created.

To display a default dashboard:

    1. In the test cases workspace, select the element(s) in the library (project, folder, multiple selection)

    2. Click on [Default] (if necessary)

    3. Click on [Refresh]

    4. The dashboard appears on the consultation page

The dashboard is divided into 4 parts :

- Orphan test cases: whether or not the test case is linked to one requirement or more

- Status: status of the test cases

- Weight: weight of the test cases

- Size: step number of the test cases

The number of selected test cases is mentioned at the end of the dashboard.

FOCUS

By clicking on the different chart sections (eg on the "Approved" section from"Status" chart), it is possible to access a search result page listing in details the test cases contained in this section.

4.13.2 Custom dashboard

A custom dashboard can be displayed instead of the default dashboard. To do so, it has to be marked as "favorite dashboard" in the Management workspace.

Prerequisite: A dashboard has been created in the Management workspace

To display a favorite dashboard:

    1. In the Management workspace, select the dashboard created

    2. Click on [Favorite] and select the "Test case" option

    3. In the Test Cases workspace, select the element(s) in the library (project, folder, multiple selection)

    4. Click on [Favorite] (if necessary)

    5. Click on [Refresh]

    6. Favorite custom dashboard appears on the consultation page

FOCUS

If the displayed custom dashboard contains a chart about requirements, data will be requirements verified by the selected test cases

4.13.3 Generate a dashboard in 'Milestone mode'

A dashboard can be generated in 'Milestone mode', whether it is a default or a custom dashboard. It includes all the features of the previous dashboard, with the exception that, in milestone mode, only test cases bound to the selected milestone will appear on the dashboard.

Prerequisite: Milestones must be in 'Active' status and the 'Milestone mode' must have been chosen in the library (2.01 - Library functions)

To display a dashboard in 'Milestone mode':

  1. In the test case workspace, click on [Milestone : XXX] over the library toolbar

  2. Click on [Default] or [Favorite] depending on the dashboard to display

  3. Click on [Refresh]

  4. The dashboard appears on the consultation page
