Squash TM supports several bugtrackers:
Mantis is natively supported by Squash TM.
Jira, Redmine, RTC and Tuleap are supported via dedicated commercial plugins.
When a bugtracker is associated with a project, a user can report an issue directly from Squash TM during a test case execution (a chapter is dedicated to this function). The user can attach an existing defect or report a new defect.
To configure a bugtracker, follow these steps below:
Prerequisite: Having correctly configured the selected bugtracker.
1. In the Administration home page, click on [Bugtracker administration]. A page opens up displaying a table and a button [Add a bugtracker].
2. Click on [Add a bugtracker], a pop-up window opens up:
3. Fill the requested fields in:
Name: Text field of maximum 255 characters.
Kind: Drop down menu proposing Mantis or another bugtracker if the dedicated plugin is installed in "plugins" folder of the Squash TM installation (How to install a plugin).
Url: url direction of your bugtracker (ex : http://localhost/mantis).
Displays in iframe:
Jira: Jira does supports this function. If the checkbox is selected, when you click on the Bugtracker workspace button of the navigation bar, the bugtracker is displayed in the work space of the right part of the screen. If the checkbox is not selected, Jira opens up in a new window.
Mantis: Mantis does not support this function.
4. Click on [Add]. The bugtracker space table is refreshed with the previously completed information.
The configured bugtracker can now be associated with a project. A chapter is dedicated to this function.
