09 - Requirement link types administration

9.1 General information

Requirement link type can be customized in the Requirement link type manager page.

This workspace displays following information:

• • [Back] to go back to the administration workspace

  • [Add a type] to add new requirement link types

  • [Delete selected types] to delete requirement link types

  • Requirement link types table

9.2 Setting a requirement link type

9.2.1 Adding a requirement link type

To add a requirement link type:

1. Click on [Add a type]

2. A pop-up window opens up with four mandatory fields: Role 1 (first linked requirement role), Role 1 code (first linked requirement role code), Role 2 (second linked requirement role) and Role 2 code (second linked requirement role code).

3. Click on [Add] or [Add another] to add several requirement link types at once.

4. Click on [Close] to shut the pop-up window without adding any requirement link type.

9.2.2 Editing a requirement link type

To edit the different field values of the requirement type links:

1. Click on the field value in the table

2. A pop-up opens up where the user can edit the field value

3. Click on [Confirm] to confirm the edition

4. Click on [Cancel] to cancel the edition

9.2.3 Deleting a requirement link type

To delete a single requirement link type:

1. Click on the button with the basket icon at the end of the table row to delete.

2. A pop-up opens up, click on [Confirm], the pop-up shuts itself, the link type is deleted.

OR

1. Select the requirement link type to delete and click on [Delete selected types].

2. A pop-up window opens up, click on [Confirm], the pop-up window shuts itself, the link type is deleted.

To delete several requirement link types:

• 1. Select the requirement link types to delete and click on [Delete selected types].

  2. A pop-up window opens up, click on [Confirm], the pop-up shuts itself, the link types are deleted.

FOCUS

If requirements are linked with the deleted requirement link type, it will be replaced with the default requirement link type.

It is not possible to delete the default requirement link type.
