Prerequisite: At least a test case with a step is created.
Select the step you wish to copy by clicking on its sequence number.
Click on [Copy] or use the keyboard shortcut [Ctrl+c].
Select the step above the one you wish to paste.
Click on [Paste] or use the keyboard shortcut [Ctrl+v].
The step is displayed below the step previously selected. The sequence numbers are automatically refreshed.
FOCUS: Multiple selection
It is possible to copy/paste a multiple or intermittent selection with the key [Ctrl] or [Shift].
Prerequisite: At least a test case is created with one or more steps.
Select the step you want to delete by clicking on its sequence number.
Click on [Delete] or on [Remove Test Step] ([Basket]) at the end of each step line,
A pop-up window opens up with an alert message asking you to confirm the operation. Click on [Confirm], or [Cancel] if you want to stop the operation, and come back to the previous state.
The pop-up window shuts itself, the steps table is refreshed.
Prerequisite: At least two test cases are created.
Select the test case you want to complete.
Click on [Script].
Select the step which will precede the called test case
Click on [Add a Call Step]. An interface of level 2 opens up.
In the tree structure, click on the project, folder or sub-folder, in which the test case you want to call is.
In the tree structure, click on the name of the test case you want to call.
The selected test case consultation page opens up on the right. You can act directly on the test case from this screen.
Click on [Call this Test Case].
The interface of level 2 shuts down and the test steps table comes back. The called test case is displayed in the step list.
Beware
It is not possible to call the test case on which the user is working, it would create an infinite loop.
Prerequisite: At least a test case is created with one or more steps.
Select in the tree structure the step to which you want to add an attachment.
Click on [Add an attachment] at the start of each step line,
The attachment page opens up. Click on [UploadAttachment] to choose a file. Click on [Upload] when you have selected your file.

Since the realease of version 1.5.0. of Squash TM, a requirement can be associated with a test step.
A chapter is dedicated to this function.
When a custom field is added to test steps (with the option "display in test steps table" checked), a user can edit the custom field value in the custom field column.
A user can directly edit a step in the Script tab by modifying "Actions" and "Expected Results" columns.
He can also edit a step in the Test step details page which is displayed after clicking on [Edit] (symbolized by a pencil icon) of the step.
