Dark Bush Cricket - Pholidoptera griseoaptera

Habitat: Scrub and grassy areas

Size: 10-20mm

Species account: A common species across southern England and Wales, the dark bush cricket is a familiar sight in late Summer and Autumn. Easily recognisable by the all brown colouration and the lack of wings. The song is a high pitched chirp, repeatedly irregularly.
