Size: 10-14mm

Species account: Despite recent declines in wild populations, the honey bee is still a familiar sight in most gardens. Superficially similar to a number of solitary bee species, with experience honey bees are easily recognised. Workers possess a potent sting, but will only use it if severely provoked.
