Andrena cineraria

Size: 11mm

Species account: Instantly recognisable by their grey and black banding, the females of this species are on the wing from April through to early June. Males are distinguished by the grey hairs on the thorax and face and the entirely black legs. Common through much of England and Wales, but largely absent from East Anglia.
