Last Monday we had the chance to gather together in the Vogel Auditorium during our Curriculum Meeting to take a look at how Wrentham is preparing for computer-based testing. Our wonderful computer teachers, Sue and Heather, introduced what they are doing in their Computer classes to assist teachers in preparing students for computer-based testing, what they have done up to this year and small changes they have made for this school year that will certainly enable students to be prepared to excel on a computer-based test. Everyday students are learning skills that are directly applicable to the test and will set them up for success. Following in this blog post is the link to the presentation that Sue, Heather, and I used as well as links to online resources available to you and the PARCC practice test (DESE has said the MCAS specific tests will be out at some point in January. The PARCC questions look identical though). With the great work you already do, the students feel comfortable using technology as a learning tool. My hope is this takes them to new heights. If you have any questions please follow-up with me.
