2-Step Verification
2-Step Verification adds an extra layer of verification to confirm the person trying to log into your Google Account is actually you. If someone else gets your password they likely won't have enough information to get into your account. I am recommending you setup your cell phone to receive a text message from Google as your 2nd step of verification. Here are some resources to help you get setup:
It would be great if you enabled 2-Step Verification as soon as you have a moment. However, you will have time at the end of the Faculty Meeting on Monday, September 12th. 2-Step Verification must be enabled by Tuesday, September 13th. If you would like to use a method other than your cell phone for verification please contact me.
Substitute Technology Access
If a short-term substitute (less than a week) is necessary for your classroom your substitute will be able to log into your room's interactive panel through the substitute login. If you know in advance of your absence your substitute will need access you can reach out to the Technology Department through Web Help Desk to let us know. Otherwise note it in your substitute plans and the substitute can reach out to us.
Your substitute can also have access to a generic grade level Google account to access Google Drive files or Google Classroom as long as you share it with those generic accounts. The accounts are as follows. The process for getting this password is the same as above. If you know in advance of your absence your substitute will need access you can reach out to the Technology Department through Web Help Desk to let us know. Otherwise note it in your substitute plans and the substitute can reach out to us. Remember, whatever Google Drive file or Google Classroom you want the substitute to access needs to be shared with them. Below are the grade level accounts for you to use:
